A small Georgia nonprofit with a big reach. Since 2001 the Educational Media Foundation has helped filmmakers, scholars, and artists bring important stories to the screen.

The brief

EMF stands behind documentaries and programs about art, history, the land, and the people who shape them. Its own look needed to be quiet, credible, and built to last.

The 2013 EMF logo usage guide: the mark, clear space and minimum size, the blue and gray colors, and the Bangla MN and Franklin Gothic typefaces

Three letters, one steady voice.

A soft lowercase emf over the full name in a condensed gothic. We designed the mark in 2013 with a one-page style guide: two colors, two typefaces, clear space, and a minimum size, so anyone at the foundation could use it well. It has carried every EMF project since.
